Fall USA Swimming

This program is for any AQM who wants to continue racing this fall.  We attend USA swim meets that are invitational style, whereas in the summer we compete in more dual meet and championship (MOC) format meets.  

 

There is more independence for USA swim meets as parents/swimmers are directly responsible for entering in meets directly with the meet host.  These meets fill up FAST and when they do, your child will not be able to participate.  I recommend figuring out a family system to ensure that you are able to sign up upon notification from swim connection.  

 

For your child to swim USA with our team you MUST:

  1. Sign up for a Fall Session.  This will be your childs swim group.
     

  2. Sign up for FALL USA program (additional option/fee when signing up).  The fee pays for our USA team membership, and for each coach to be a fully carded USA swim coach as well as extra practices for USA swimmers.  The fee used to be $60 but has been reduced due to the growth of this program!
     

  3. Sign up for USA swimming card.  Need more info - CLICK HERE.  If you are carded through Dec 31, 2018 you don't need to do anything now.
     

  4. Set up a swimconnection account and set up your account to receive notifications once meets go live.  
     

  5. Mark your calendar practice dates & meet schedule.

These are our contracted blocks of time.  We will email out the specific age-group practice times as we approach the practice dates.

USA SWIMMING Registration 

 

***NOTICE - Do Not Register USA Swimming until after September 1, 2018***

 

To swim in Fall USA, your swimmer must be registered with USA Swimming. 

 

USA Registration fees are paid directly to Sierra Nevada Swimming, our Local Swimming Chapter (LSC).  Swimmers must be a “carded USA swimming member” to participate in our Fall USA meets. 


Your child’s USA swimming membership covers their insurance with USA swimming and also your child will receive the USA swimming magazine.  This is a nice place for kids to learn more about swimming.  

 

Part of your membership fees also support the current USA National Team and the 2016 USA Olympic Team. 


In the past there have been two options for USA registration.  One is seasonal for the fall only and the other is year-round which will then include TWO fall sessions. 

 

  • Fall Seasonal Athlete (9/1/18-1/29/19)  ~finding out about this option

  • Year Round Athlete (9/1/18-12/31/19)  ~finding out the fee (if you think you will do two seasons of fall usa this is the better deal last year’s registration was $84)
